Many lawns suffering from Chafer Grub infestation.
The last two years have been very bad for Chafer Grub infestation, with the most severe cases evident on light sandy or chalky soils.
Chafer grubs are often very difficult to control but there are treatments available in May/June and August/September which will be affective on grubs up to 1 year old.
Chafers feed on the roots of the grass plant making the turf weak and susceptible to damage caused by birds and badgers foraging for the grub.
