Lawntech believes the secret to a healthy lawn is working with Mother Nature as much as possible. We are constanly trying to improve the environment by reducing the use of harmful products such as high nitrogen fertilisers, pesticides and other potentially harmful chemicals.

Obviously we cannot reveal all of our trade secrets, but at Lawntech we do our best to use new safe methods of unlocking the goodness in your soil, including, where possible, the use of organic products and minerals, which improve the condition of your grass and soil.

It is often underestimated how much  mechanical treatments such as aeration, scarification and correct mowing procedures can improve your lawn.  We believe we are unrivaled when it comes to having the most comprehensive range of specialist equipment and expertise to carry out these vital procedures.

Lawntech’s environmental pledge

• We do not use high nitrogen fertilisers.
• We do not use Pesticides as part of our regular annual lawn care programme.
• Our lawn fertilisers are Semi Organic or Fully Organic.
• Our preferred method of Grub Control is  eco friendly products  such as Nematodes.
• We specialise in mechanical treatments to improve your lawn.

Weed Control

Unfortunately it is not yet possible to selectively control weeds in turf without using a chemical herbicide. However, we can still dramatically reduce the amount of herbicide used by only spot spraying wherever possible using the safest products available.

Note from the M.D James Hewlett – I have not sprayed my lawn for weeds with herbicide for 5 years!  Once I had killed off the weeds initially, I then took a stroll around the garden two or three times per year with a small prong in hand teasing out any new-comers.  This  way my lawn stays weed free without the need for herbicide. Plus it is very therapeutic after a long day at the office running Lawntech.
