Every lawn needs a major service every 2-3 years, to revive, refresh and bring it back to vigorous health and any green keeper will tell you that Autumn is the best time to do it.. Our Lawn Renovation package includes Scarification, Aeration and Over-seeding to do just that, and is best carried out between mid-August and early October. Lawns which have been renovated in this way also enable our regular Annual Care Programme treatments to work so much better, as the process encourages fresh, dynamic growth.

Immediately after Renovation
Our client’s lawn had become tired and thatchy, and was so spongy that it was difficult to mow. We carried out our ‘Renovation Combo’ of Scarification, Aeration and Over-seeding. Our client feared that we had ruined his lawn, but was quickly reassured that the long term results would make the recovery period more than worthwhile.
4 months after Renovation
Early spring and after several mows, the lawn is looking healthy, fresh and vibrant. Our client told us “This is the best the lawn has ever looked!” The new seed has germinated, is filling in nicely and the lawn is much easier to mow. Now, it is also more responsive to our regular lawn care treatments.
STEP BY STEP
Step 1: Scarification
Removes harmful excess thatch from your lawn. Thatch is a build-up of surface and sub-surface grass, clippings and moss which can accumulate over many years, stifling the healthy growth of your lawn.
Step 2: Deep Aeration
Greatly improves soil and root structure by relieving compaction, root-pruning and penetrating bores into the sub-surface, which allow vital nutrients, air and water to enrich the soil.
Step 3: Over-seeding
It is essential to replenish and restore your lawn by Over-seeding if Scarification or Aeration have taken place. Seed contact deep in the soil enhances its germination and provides the best environment for healthy growth and development.
