The photo of this lawn shows that it is not just our treatments that make all the difference to the lawn, but it is also the dedicated care and attention from Mr & Mrs P who do their bit to mow frequently with the correct type of mower to keep the lawn looking at its best. It really is this partnership between us and our customers which makes all the difference.
This lawn showcase shows that the lawn looks perfectly fine and stripy, even though is still an undulating informal country lawn. The reason it looks this good is not just because of our 7 treatment per year annual lawn care programme and occasional mechanical renovation treatments, it is because it is mowed regularly with a mower which has a rear roller drive creating stripes up and down the lawn. We recommend lawns are mowed with a roller drive mower rather than a 4 -wheeled mower because it is less likely to leave wheel marks or scalp the lawn around the edges, plus the stripes look great! Lawns which are mown regularly are also going to be thicker, finer and lusher, this is because the grass plant loves to be mown regularly at the same height, around 20-25mm so that it does not become stressed. Leaving a lawn to get too long by infrequent mowing reduces light into the base of the sward causing it to thin-out. See more of our step by step advice on mowing.
