A miniature wildflower meadow will create a beautiful addition to your garden and help to build new habitat opportunities for a wide range of insects and pollinators.

You don’t need a large space to create your own wildflower meadow, and against your manicured lawn, a wildflower meadow will create a stunning contrast to benefit our wildlife population all year-round. Whether it be a flowerpot, a flowerbed, or a wild patch in your lawn, you can allow your miniature wildflower meadow to grow as wild as it likes.

Wild and free

Growing a miniature wildflower garden needn’t be difficult. Section off a small area of your lawn allowing it to grow and wait to see what arrives. Let nature take its course and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Introducing a touch of wild to your garden really can be as simple as that.

Contained and content

Wildflowers and natural grasses aren’t too fussy about soil and so they can be packed in together. Combine a selection of wildflowers of different heights with a native grass in a natural container for a lovely pastel mix to brighten up your patio or terrace.

In light of ‘No Mow May’ this month, we are considering a more sustainable approach with an addition of an all-year round mini wildflower meadow to bring a permanent resource to our pollinators. For more inspiration and ideas, visit our dedicated wildflower blog;
